Cloud Computing Camp

On October 22 and 23, 2008 there will be a workshop about cloud computing, to learn more, click on the link >>> cloud computing camp. The workshop is free but you do have register right now or before the workshop date gets closer.

The purpose of this camp is to gain insightful knowledge and education about Cloud Computing. You will learn a variety of computer application:
  1. compute storage cloud architectures
  2. programming models
  3. data scalable computing
  4. distributed data computing
  5. content distribution
  6. data management

After you have completed the workshop, you will have the skills and capabilities to know fully how Cloud Computing works in a dynamic way. You will be able to apply these skills at your job and school to enhance your potential for a better job or possibly a better grade.

IBM launches cloud computing in four countries

IBM will open four cloud computing center in four countries today and will help universities, governments test the application.
These four countries are: Bangalore, India; Hanoi,Vietnam; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Seoul, South Korea.

In each of the four countries cloud computing will help to improve remote usage to share with other governments and universities. It will allow better business and consumers to access computers over the internet. Sharing the infrastructure will also allow business together in solving business problems and work more efficiently. Also, within the computer center, all universities will have free access to help them gain hands-on experience and learn more about cloud computing.

Cloud computing will help all business in these countries to share the same infrastructure without having to build or set-up a new infrastructure in each location. Each company will have their own cloud computing to share on one platform around the world, where managers and organizations can watch day to day operation and be more effective in decision making process.

Google and IBM converge on cloud computing

Google and IBM are teaming up to promote cloud computing to universities and share their thoughts on how cloud computing will become effective in the future. These companies say the goal will help students to improve their knowledge about computer practices and increase awareness in the real world, such as search engines.

Both companies plan to provide at least a hundred computers to give to the universities with a combination of "IBM BladeCenter and G-machine"that will be the main server. These servers will have open-source software that students can access the internet to learn more about cloud computing and gain insight about IBM and Google build-in websites, hopefully students will be able to gain the knowledge to meet today's challenges for tomorrow future.

There are only a handful of universities that will part-take in this collaboration with IBM and Google. The University of Washington, Carnegie-Mellow university, MIT, Standford university, the University of California and the University of Maryland. The outlook is for IBM and Google to expand the familiarity as to what to expect in the future to come about cloud computing.

"An example of one of the projects that has already been performed on the cluster, Google says that University of Washington students were able to use the cluster to scan the millions of edits made to Wikipedia in order to identify spam and organize news by geographic location."

After IBM and Google
collaborates with the universities above, they are expecting more universities to jump on board to learn about cloud computing and hopefully. This will be the turning point for a new way of social networking and scientific computational.

Chaning The World

How "Cloud Computing" is changing the world

Cloud computing covers many tech areas: software service, a software distribution method pioneered by Salesforce ten years ago.

It also includes newer hardware as a service, order storage space by consumer and other business and Amazon has decide a few year ago to have an on-demand server capacity for consumer and business as well.

Amazon has created a web service that will resize computing capacity in the cloud. The purpose of the designed is to make "web-scale computing" easier. Consumers and Business will have control of root access, to interact with their own storage data and be able to store anything you want on their server.

Amazon has wired their server to your home PC, by your user name and password, to give you complete access to anything you want on their servers.

As soon as you log-on at Amazon, the servers will start automatically spitting widgets out at you, but these are not pop-ups, more like graphic user interface objects. These widgets will be a click of button from your finger tips, if you want to use them.

Super Computers

Super Computers are mainly ran and held by the Military, Government and universities.

These massive size computers tackle large amount of data every day and deal with complex calculation, to help make things run smoothly.

Big name companies like Yahoo, Microsoft and IBM have built similar super computers to run massive data more than the government. Within these companies cloud computing is their objective for small business and consumers to gain access to their system.

Cloud computing aims to apply that kind of power for measuring in the tens of trillions of computation per second, to analyzing small business problems, deliver personal medical information, computer games and more.

You can store your data through their website by G-mail or Hotmail, so that you may have access anytime of the day and any where around the world to check your e-mail.

Cloud computing will network with large groups of servers that often use low cost for consumer PC and specialize connection to spread data across the entire platform. And it will make it easier for consumer to retrieve vital information anytime.

Cloud Computing

Ready Set...Go!

Cloud computing is on demand service for customers to have back door access.

The middleman is soon to past when purchasing a software product in the store or leasing a product for your business. Competitive companies are finding ways to satisfy the consumers without them actually traveling outside their company.

Companies are now starting to realize various ways to keep their customers satisfy and attract potential customers to use their product by allowing back door access called Cloud Computing. So, if you want to lease a product, download a software, or simply store your data on their supercomputer. It is now becoming accessible to consumers to have an extra data storage space.

IBM, Yahoo and Google

Cloud computing has been implemented by several top name technology companies, like IBM, Yahoo and Google. They have provided a better way for companies and consumers to access and retrieve information from their websites and servers.

With this new way of getting information, it is to help speed up the process and run more efficiently to download whatever you are looking for.

All of these companies are providing a machine that delivers faster, more sophisticated data analysis and faster download capabilities for all users.

Cloud computing aims to please and have the same benefit power as the military, universities and government agencies for all users; who surf the web, lease a product, buy software products and play video games. IBM, Yahoo and Google are working on various ways to provide a better service for the consumers around the world.
